Why Photographs
Social Media has changed the game regarding how participants reflect and discuss a race they recently completed. In the past this was done by brandishing a t-shirt after race day. Things are much different now. We want to show our family, colleagues, and friends our actual struggles using high quality digital photographs and video. If you give the world the opportunity to see the textures of your race course I promise you they will be begging for more.
INTRO SEGMENT
This is a photography proposal for the 2021 Headwaters 30K Race directed by Plott Balsam Runners.

GOALS
Create incredible photos showcasing the race experience
Share the beautiful visuals of Panthertown Valley
Highlight course officials to include the race director and numerous volunteers
Generate increased “buzz”and awareness from the use of these photos in advertising and social media

MY COMMITMENT
You get my personal passion, all in on this project.
If you want someone to sit on the trail with a camera and tripod then I might not be your guy ! I’m more photojournalist than photographer. I will be constantly moving and getting angles and shots from multiple locations and perspectives probably in camouflage hanging from a tree!

Before anything else...I am a runner.
It is no small challenge to photograph races. The experience and skillset has been hard won. Many mistakes, issues, unforseen obstacles, and lessons learned along the way. Now that I've been at it for a while, I've built a skillset and approach that allows me to create incredible results for my clients.

The proposals I create are one price. That way there is no surprises or randomly increased costs. In addition, there are no down payments or deposits. I will mail you an invoice after you have received the completed project and are happy with the results!

Registered runners: Approximately 100
Round trip driving milage: TBD
FINAL DELIVERABLES
The final deliverable of this project will be a collection of edited photographs.
The photos will be uploaded to a SmugMug photo-sharing website and available for the runners to download at NO COST. I will provide you with a link.
I work fast and will get the photos edited with the quickness. The earliest being Monday Evening and the latest Tuesday night (depending on travel).
I will send you a USB thumb drive containing the edited photographs.

Challenges
Inclement weather (rain) is not ideal but it will NOT prevent me from being out there doing my thing. I will have items on hand to weatherize and protect my equipment.
